Making money online with Acme People Search is how I got hooked on internet marketing. APS is a free program to join, that offers up to 8 income streams for affiliates to make money with. Created by Tissa Godavitarne, APS is leading the way as a company that cares about and supports its active affiliates.

Here's how the program works, in a blogshell (hehe). There's a fair bit of info here, so I'll try and lay it out in a fairly concise manner, and break it down further in future blogs.

When you do opt in and become a free member, you receive a replicated search engine website. This Acme People Search Engine can be used to make commissions with by promoting the site to others that are looking for somebody in the United States. And yes, this can and is being successfully promoted globally, but the search feature just works in the U.S.  People can do a free basic search for immediate results, or can register for free to receive more useful information such as an address or phone number. Every time someone registers for free, you make money. Also there are other products displayed on your site that you can earn from such as Reverse Phone Detective, or Background Checks.

Step One in the APS system is to Monetize your search engine by becoming a free affiliate member of Clickbank, H.D. Publishing, and Google Adsense, and entering your affiliate id's into the system.

Now as I said, you can make some commissions with this search engine, and what that means is your own Acme link will be shown 35% of the time for you to earn with. Anyone that is serious about making money online with Acme People Search will want to take the optional Step 2

Step Two involves signing up for the recommended web hosting to brand your people search engine with your own name. This way you can take control over your search engine website and modify it if you wish as you please. Now depending upon how upgraded your sponsor is in the program and which options they chose, you may be offered hosting by Hostgator, Lunar Pages, or GDI. All reputable companies with great hosting.

Once you have taken step 2, your Acme link will now be shown 65% of the time when you advertise your search engine that people can use for free.

Making Money Online with Affiliate Programs

Making money online with affiliate programs has started to become more popular now with the recent US. recession. Many people are looking for ways to supplement their income any way they can, and for those with an internet connection and some spare time, it's a no brainer.

What is an "Affiliate" and how does this work?

You may not have noticed in your surfing that very many of the websites you visit have an 'Affiliate' link usually at the bottom of the page with the 'contact us', 'privacy policy' 'terms' links, etc. You can generally sign up for free with most of these sites as an affiliate. And as the term implies, you are not an employee of the company, however you are affiliated with them as an independent salesperson. As you know many commercial stores have salespeople who work on a commissions basis.Well, that's what affiliate marketing online is all about. Companies with a product or service for sale will pay you a commission, if you can refer people to them online that make a purchase.

Most of these companies already have websites set up so that they can give you a link with your own personal username built in. You then say post a free classified ad online using your referral link. When some one sees your ad and clicks on the link, they are then taken to the companies sales page. If the person you referred makes a purchase, you will then earn a pre determined commission for the sale. Many of these companies will give you a further incentive to sell more for them by offering bonus commissions, or higher commissions for those that can refer more people. And my favorite kind of commissions can also be earned as an affiliate - residual income.

Residual income is most often associated with multi level marketing companies. Sounds easy enough, huh? 

Well, it's not really that tough, but at the same time over 90% of internet marketers fail. Why is there such high attrition? It's because so many people are looking for a fast and easy way to make money these days, that they don't realize that internet marketing is the same as trying to sell anything anywhere else. If you intend to make an income from it, the you simply must treat it as a business, and not a get rich quick scheme.

That's what I did when I started affiliate marketing. While being careful as to how much I was spending, I made a few little mistakes along the way, however, I also made some money and learned a lot. The key here is if you want to jump right in with both feet as I did, is to find a company that will pay you commissions plus residual income, and most importantly offers support and training for their affiliates. There are many other places online where you can learn all you need to know get started, but some prefer to have everything laid out in a structured manner, as found in the Wealthy Affiliate University


I consider myself very fortunate to have started out marking online line with the Acme People Search (APS) program. This search engine can be advertised for people to use to find others in the US. and when it is used, you can earn some commissions.

Making Money Online with Multi Level Marketing MLM ( it's not a dirty word online)

It's true! MLM - Multi Level Marketing, is no longer a dirty word.

First off, making money online with mlm is nothing like the tradition mlm sales and recruiting methods you may know of. I'm sure we've all had a friend in the past who has joined up with some mlm company before and tried to get get us to come out to an opportunity meeting. And if any of you have tried mlm in the past as I have, well you know how much fun that is. The very first thing you are told to do is to go out an get all your friends and family involved. Now once you've tried to sell everyone you know your water filter/ health care product/ soap - home shopping club/ etc. and most say 'thanks but no thanks', then you have to start approaching strangers. Well, really most people who aren't natural salespeople are uncomfortable with trying to sell their friends something even if they do believe in it. Very often, the very few at the top who are making great money will hype up the opportunity and potential rewards. And it's true that over 90 % will fail, and only a small number of great salesmen will succeed.

Online it's a whole different ball game. Sure all my friends know that I'm working online to try and make money. Some have been interested enough to ask what I'm doing, but I haven't approached one of them with my opportunity. Why? you may ask. That's easy, I'm doing all my marketing online. Though I could be approaching my friends and sharing the opportunity, I'd much rather let them come to me if they are interested, and of course the proof is in the pudding. I must be making money online myself in order to prove to all these people that it really does work, before I waste their time with yet another opportunity that sadly often don't turn out to be very successful.

Now I can do my marketing with a clear conscience. The only email I'll ever send anyone regarding my business opportunities will be those that have already opted in, or asked to receive more information.

In my search for ways of making money online, I discovered affiliate marketing, and some of the nicest commissions and residuals to be made that I have found come from web hosting companies. It's a no brainier really. Almost everyone interested in making money online, will at some point need a website, or at least hosting for their affiliate site or splash pages, Wordpress blogs, etc.

Since I have completed all the upgrades and got my Super Affiliate Switch flipped on, I can offer my referrals either Hostgator, or Lunar Pages as a first choice for their web hosting. These will pay me $50 - $125 per referral depending on my monthly volume with HG, or $65 - 80 per with Lunar. Even though both of these companies have excellent hosting at great prices, they do ask for a small lump payment initially. If my referrals balk at having to make that financial commitment right away, the the second choice I give them is GDI.

Global Domains International is a popular web host due to it's affiliate program. It offers basic web hosting including domain name registration, for $10 per month with a no money down, free 1 week trial period to sign up. The nice part is for every person you refer who hosts a site with GDI, you will receive $1 per month. So, as you can see, you only need 10 referrals and your own account is paid for. Then get more and you begin to profit with monthly residual income. Also GDI has a fantastic bonus feature where if you sign up 5 or more people in the same week, you receive a $100 US. commission.

Now, to really sweeten the pot, Acme People Search has added GVO as an income stream, based on their value added marketing tools and awesome affiliate program as well. GVO really rocks, and I think will soon become my biggest and most enduring way of making money online.

The other system I use is free to join and use and is called The New Rich Report. This system promotes both GDI and GVO as well as any other product or affiliate site that you want. New Rich contains an extremely valualbe, yet free  'Success Guide'. This guide provides step by step internet marketing tutorials on all of the most effective ways to advertise online. I highly reccomend this guide to anyone no matter what they are trying to promote, to learn about all the differnet ways of making money online.

Making Money Online with . . . How I Started

Making money online is something I’ve always known about, and also knew that some people were getting rich with online businesses. I started out on the internet with the goal of starting a website to sell the jewelry I make. I had been selling my cool necklaces quite successfully to all my friends and acquaintances, but that market soon started to dry up. One day I decided to reach more people by placing pictures of my jewelry on my Facebook page, and I did get quite a few more sales and a lot of interest. So, I decided to create a website to see if I could start making money online selling my jewelry. Like everything I find on the internet, I approached cautiously as to protect myself from scams, and spams.

Starting from scratch with very little money, I found a company that gave me website building tools and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tips along with a keyword research tool. I dug right in and also learned how to take good quality macro pictures of my necklaces to post, named them and wrote out descriptions. The one thing I could have done better was to utilize one of the many shopping cart systems available. I could have saved hours of time, but instead I chose to save the $30 per month and tagged each item individually with PayPal buttons.

While I was in the process of building my site, I decided to try out my necklaces on eBay, since I already had some great pictures ready to use on the web. I did sell quite a few necklaces there, but I arrived at a time when eBay was going through some policy changes, and many Power Sellers and store owners were complaining in the forum, and about low sales due to the economy. I wanted to open a store of my own, but with so many others griping and closing up their shops, I stayed away.

So now I’ve got a website, so what? Without traffic to my site, nobody will see it to buy anything... looks like research time again. I Googled ‘website traffic’ and similar terms, and I found tons of places and ways to purchase traffic. Again my intention being making money online, not spending it, so I soon added the word ‘free’ in front of my searches. This is how I found out about the free traffic exchanges, where one views others ads to earn credits to show your own. I saw people advertising all manner of sites, but mostly systems for making money online, and that my friends, is how I bumped into the wonderful world of affiliate marketing.

Very many of the flashy splash pages these companies used appeared to me to be too good to be true. One page that I saw stood out from the crowd and had a sincerity about it that was refreshing. It was a pre sell page for the Acme People Search program.

Imagine a free search engine of my own with which to earn commissions. Well like most businesses online, to really make money one will eventually want their own website. I have since upgraded my People Search Engine and take part in all of the business opportunities it has to offer, including signing up for Wealthy Affiliate University using Tissa’s link in order to get my Super Affiliate Switch flipped. This means that when people interested in getting a free search engine are ready to sign up for web hosting under Step 2, I can offer them Hostgator or Lunar Pages first to provide great hosting tools at a great price, and earn myself some GREAT commissions.

The New Rich Report is a free system which provides step by step marketing tutorials and promotes GDI and GVO plus another business of your choice. Bram’s site, 10 Years of Traffic is another splash page that actually gives away free web traffic to those that take a look at your business opportunity, which is New Rich with GVO.

Also I have become a Super Sponsor at the APS Support Forum, and you can too. Just pay it forward and spend some time helping others, and Tissa most graciously will reimburse all of your COB (cost of business) starting with his Step 3 subscription fee, and including all these sites that don’t actually pay him, like GDI, Hostgator, GVO, and WA! I just received another months reimbursement, this one including GVO for $123 US. Tissa has truly removed any obstacles from my path now and the only thing that can prevent me from making money online is me, and that’s not going to happen.

So basically there’s two different sites whose affiliate links you can promote in order to refer others to GDI and GVO, two solid and reputable companies that provide internet marketing tools for any business, and both pay monthly residual commissions plus bonuses to their affiliates that can share these tools, opportunities, or both to others interested in making money online.
